Trinity Health Seaway Races 2022 took place  on a textbook summer day in Muskegon, Michigan. I co-shot this race with Rudy. He covered the shoreline while I manned the start/finish. Start/Finish lines can be tricky to shoot for a variety of reasons. Early morning sunlight can be overbearing and harsh. Also, start/finish lines and their chutes can be bland and boring. Lately I have seen more races with a gated finish chute, especially if they are in a parking lot. Gated chutes offer participants a front row seat while the racers get the advantage of having a cheering squad at the hardest part of their race. This race was stood out to me for that reason. I also loved all the young families and 80+ers getting their move on.
